Résumé/Présentation | '[...] This chapter looks into an important variable in the information process : the public confidence in media. Based on a qualitative research implemented in Goma, the paper analyzes the impact of an unstable media environment on domestic audiences: How do people find trustworthy information to help them overcome uncertainty in situations of conflict? Which sources do they trust? These questions gain in importance given the role that the media played in other conflicts in the region, for instance, in mobilizing the audience for murderous purposes during the genocide in Rwanda" |
